Apple Lattice Pie

Slice off the top of your apple, and hollow out the center using a spoon.

Be careful not to pierce through the skin, or go through the bottom of the apple. You want to make it into a bowl.

Fill the apple with Apple Pie Filling (bought in store, just add your own cinnamon!)

Unroll a Pillsbury premade pie crust and cut it into thin 1/4 inch strips, then make a lattice pattern over the tops of your apples. You can leave holes, or cover completely depending on how tightly you lay your lattice.

Put a 1/4 inch of water in your baking dish and arrange your apples inside. I baked mine at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes, then took them out, sprinkled sugar on top, and put them back in for an additional six minutes.

You can now cool and enjoy your apple pie! Slice it or eat it as you would an apple.

**This is my version of a recipe found here. Images and instructions are my own adaptation.
